Are these subwoofers easy to hook up?
The connectors on the rear of the AS-P400 are well marked and easy to understand. Standard home theater receivers utilize a single RCA "Sub Out" jack. There are two RCA jacks on the back of the AS-P400, one marked "Direct In" and one marked "Sub In". If you have Audition Series or S.5 athena TECHNOLOGIES® speakers, then use the "Sub In" jack and set the SCT Dial to match the model number of your speakers. That's it! If you have an older receiver or amplifier that isn't home theater based, there are also 5-way binding posts for connecting a high level speaker signal to the subwoofer. The owners manual shows many different wiring and system configurations, but rest assured your athena AS-P400 is ready to function in any music or home theater system.
